The infantometer consists of 3 carrier sections (anodised aluminium). The two lateral carriers are made of light aluminium, and they are powder-coated. Foot support and carriage (holder for brake levers) are made of high-quality aluminium stamping parts, and they are powder-coated, too.
The 4 ball-bearing, profiled rollers of the carriage are sheathed with plastics and ensure silent run.
The 3 stuck screenings show the percentiles for boys and girls and the nominal values in millimetres, thus ensuring good readability. Through the bevelled acrylic glass windows the exact indication of the age in months is visible.
The brake system with lever serves for fixing the foot support during the measurement. The head support is equipped with a soft, wipeable mat with Velcro® fastener in order to avoid haematomas for newborn babies.
For an ergonomic operation by the operating personnel we recommend the purchase of the special underframes with each time 2 lockable rollers.
Consequently, all components are corrosion-resistant and characterised by reliable functionality and long service life even in case of extreme fluctuations of temperature.
